Envision 2026 returns February 23–March 2 with impactful improvements to our hospitality, communication, community health and safety, water treatment, sanitation, and sustainability. Here's what's different.

We love our large community, but the population on site during our 2024 festival strained our systems and diluted our collective experience. For 2026, we are addressing both sides of the equation, lowering our total onsite population by 2000 people
and capping our maximum number of guests to 5,500. At the same time, we are increasing our core infrastructure.

Capacity Down, Quality Up.

NEW MEDICAL LEADERSHIP
Community health begins with strong leadership. We've partnered with experienced festival health and safety professionals to audit and update our entire medical and security operation, from staffing to equipment to response protocols. We are emphasizing Costa Ricans hires, and focusing on preparedness for customary travel illnesses. We’ve partnered with experienced festival medicine professionals to redesign our entire medical operation, from staffing levels to equipment to response protocols. Expect more medics, better training, and faster care.
STAY HEALTHY GUIDE
Before Envision, we'll provide a comprehensive "Stay Healthy" guide developed with local doctors and the Ministry of Health, covering jungle health, hydration strategies, sun protection, and harm reduction resources. Before the festival, we'll provide a comprehensive "Stay Healthy" guide developed with local doctors and the Ministry of Health, covering jungle health, hydration strategies, sun protection, and harm reduction resources. Knowledge is prevention.
Community health is a team effort.

We're increasing our B2S (butts-to-seats) ratio by at least 40%, as well as nmaking improvements to the bathrooms themselves.

Hiring Local
We're contracting more Costa Rican teams and companies this year AND reducing our environmental impact by minimizing travel from international staff. We want the jobs we create with Envision’s spending to stay local as much as possible.

Locally-Sourced Food & Beverage
We're working with local farmers, breweries, and producers to secure locally grown fruits, vegetables, poultry, fish, kombucha, beer, cacao, and herbal elixirs to bring you incredible food while supporting the Costa Rican economy.

Reforestation in Action
Thanks to our reforestation efforts in partnership with Rancho La Merced, what was once cattle pasture is now a food forest and active biological corridor, bringing animals from the mountain jungles to the coast. Trees we planted in 2023 have grown to create shade over tent camping areas.

Expanded Composting
We're developing a comprehensive composting program that transforms all organic waste into nutrient-rich compost to support our reforestation efforts. This includes food scraps, compostable service-ware, bamboo, coconut shells, and long-cured toilet compost.

LIDAR-Mapped Site
Our experts used precision LIDAR technology to map every inch of our festival grounds. This data informs smarter site design and way-finding signage. Now, we know exactly where everything is and our mapping is far more accurate. Our maps and signage will be developed with this data.We used precision LIDAR technology to map every inch of the festival grounds. Pedestrian Pathways
We've reimagined our roads, paths, and public spaces to be more respectful of the guest experience. We're separating people and vehicles as much as possible. Some vehicles will be required to access the site to distribute ice, clean bathrooms, and maintain our site.

Envision Festival exists within one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth — Costa Rica’s Costa Ballena — where the Pacific Ocean meets lush jungle mountains.
Our home at Rancho La Merced, neighboring Marino Ballena National Park, sits in a living corridor of wildlife, mangroves, and coral reefs. It’s a privilege to host a festival in such a vital ecosystem — and also a responsibility that we take seriously.
We recognize the paradox: Envision is a celebration of life and connection held within a conservation area, and any human gathering here has an impact — from sound and traffic to energy and waste.
Yet through years of reforestation, habitat restoration, and conservation partnerships, we’ve helped return this land closer to its natural state than when we found it.
We believe the benefits — from ecological renewal to inspiring thousands to care deeply for the planet — outweigh the costs. It’s not a perfect balance, but an ongoing commitment to learn, improve, and do better every year.

This is the jungle. It's hot, humid, and unpredictable. Rain happens. Mud happens. Insects are your neighbors. There's no air conditioning, no pavement, no suburban comfort zone.
Come prepared: sturdy shoes, rain gear, sun protection, hydration supplies, and realistic expectations. This isn't Coachella. It's wilder and weirder–a very different type of wonderful.
If you need “perfect” controlled conditions to have a good time, this might not be your festival. But if you're ready to embrace nature’s mess and magic…
we’ll see you soon.
Part of our magic comes from this place and the profound feeling of being alive in this natural environment.
